Getting a home loan with lousy credit is possible. It is a difficult journey but an attainable one. The first step in the process is to become a member of a reputable credit union. Credit unions have more liberal lending policies and were originally designed to handle loans that traditional, large banks would not even touch. Establish a good standing with a credit union and then later apply for a loan. While waiting to apply for a loan, begin making settlements or payments with debtors on your credit report. With current debts not already turned over to the credit collection agency, contact them and make minimum payments. Anything that is incorrect on your credit reports, have removed by writing to the companies. It is difficult, but possible to get a home loan with lousy credit.
