Ghost Busters has a game cover which attracts little kids. The ghost looks like those from the kindergarten cartoon shows. They are obviously targeting families with children with this game.

The Storyline

The game is based on the 1984 show, and that is why it is known as The Video Game, to make sure that you know this is the video game and not the actual series. The game is a combination of humour, action and interesting plot. The game is anything but serious.

You walk through different locations getting rid of enemies and complete different missions. On your journey you also meet some other characters from the original show.

The Graphics

It is Xbox 360, and I always expect the graphics to be one of the things that complement the game.This game is a nice example of this. The graphics will not disappoint you. The game doesn't lag behind other Xbox games in graphics. They complement the game and make the game more enjoyable.

The Gameplay

The graphics make the gameplay experience much better. You will get to use traps on ghosts and use different strategies within the game. I love strategy based game, but this game provides sufficient room for using your brain. The game is not very easy to beat. There is a lot of variety in the game, making it easier to spend more time playing the game. There are tons of different looking ghosts and the bosses are very tough.

The game is a nice combination of adventure and action. You will be with your team busting ghosts. The way the game works is that if you or your team mates get injured, you need to help them. The same idea used in most action based games. They can get annoying as you face tougher enemies. The tougher the enemies the more time you will need to spend taking care of your buddies.

You can also explore historic artifacts and explore your lands fully. This adds the adventure theme to the game to make it more entertaining. The sound effects and graphics are nice combination that make the experience more entertaining.

To buy or not to buy

This is the basic question for every review. I suggest that you do buy this game and try it out for yourself. It is not a unique game, though. It is similar to other XBOX 360 games in the market, so if you own similar video games, then there is no need to buy Ghostbusters. It is not as unique as you might expect it to be.

You have to believe in ghosts to enjoy this game. It revolves around supernatural theories and the game targets audience which is entertained by ghost stories. If you are a mature adult and prefer a serious game, this is definitely going to be one of the worst games in your collection. If you are fan of the classic series, then this game is definitely a perfect purchase to add to your collection.
