Poetry: You win

by Steven West

Created on: July 04, 2009

You play the game to win.

Second place is not your style.

Don't take it on the chin.

Just take it for every mile.

Success is what you are after.

Winning is the name of the game.

It's better than joy and laughter.

Second place will put you to shame.

If you really believe this blather.

Then I guess you are a competitive sort.

I just wish you'd go on and gather

In a different type of court.
