If you are actually thinking of this question, and trying to seek genuine answers to it, then you are not ready for marriage. If your boyfriend has not proposed and you haven't stopped to talk to him about it maturely and realistically, then that is a sign of immaturity. If you have been with him for an extremely long time, and the subject of marriage has been brought up several times and he still not proposed, then you should conceder the fact that perhaps he is not ready for marriage, or not interested in marrying you (harsh as that sounds).
Otherwise, however, please don't plot and plan against your man in order to manipulate him into a proposal. Talk to him honestly, and find out what you want to know directly from him. Marriage is not something to weasel your way into, and it's not something that should EVER be taken lightly.
