Poetry: Dark humor

by Louise Wulfe

Created on: July 04, 2009

Death sent me an email.

Bits and bytes

Flowed through the line

Like hollowed marks

On time's corridor.

It said he would come

When shadows fell,

And the moon was high.

The name was wrong.

I tried to reply,

But it was no use.

It was midnight,

And someone died.
