Things To Do When Your Kid Hates Going To Childcare
Having to send your children off to a Daycare is hard enough, and then finding the right provider for your babies can be an incredibly challenging task, however, it is extremely essential to find the right match. Everyone has different personalities, and ways of caring for children. Try to find a good caregiver that has the same values and views on raising your child as you do.
Trust is a major issue that you need to establish right away. Someone who is fair and just at all times, who can inspire your youngster to be a better person, who will teach your child the basic knowledge that he or she will need to learn in our society today. A good caregiver teaches your child many important things while they are with her for eight to ten hours or more each day. A child having a difficult time at Daycare, usually means there is a problem that needs attention. Separation Anxiety usually lasts about two weeks and sometimes a bit longer for some children. If your Toddler is having nightmares, night sweats, playing sick, starts crying, or displaying a tantrum making your feel guilty, or other negative reactions relating to Daycare. Then you need to investigate the deeper root to the problem.
Another child or one of the staff could be bullying your child by scare tactics to take control. Staff Bullies, should be written up, and then fired on the spot. Always listen to your child's fears and concerns; there could be a valid reason for it. Talk to the head of the daycare and find out which children play with her child during the day, and what activities does my child enjoy or hate to be a part. The staff should be very healthful in handling this problem, and want it solved as much as you do.
It problem could be as simple as an ugly clown that hangs on the wall, that is rather scary, or a dog that the daycare uses as a Mascot. On the other hand, a task or small job that he is afraid he cannot accomplish and thinks he will be teased, if he has trouble and does it wrong.
If you have investigated and still your youngster has issues about going to a Daycare you can try a new one to test waters, or several to see if the same problems exist, or you can find a sitter to come to your home, or to go to hers. A woman who sits at her home has fewer kids and usually has more time for one on one with your child if necessary. It could be that a big day care can be overwhelming for some children, and needs a home-setting environment to feel more at ease.
If you can find someone to come to your house, then that would be better being he will not have to change or leave his comfort zone. However, having a child, this tense about leaving his home is not healthy, and he needs to be interacting with children his own age, and accomplishing activities at that level with other peers.
Possibly seeing a children's therapist might make things easier for both you and your child. This is a big world out here and he needs to greet it, and explore it without having the fear along with it.
