Remember a time
there was just you an me,
No places to go,
no people to see.
Sometimes I yearn
to return to that time,
of young and foolish
without a dime.
Those were the days
of no responsibility,
just living on love,
and loving was free.
No expectations
or obligations
cluttering our lives
with complications.
Long ago, far away,
simple memories,
fill me with nostalgic
and wistful reveries.
I miss the way we used to be,
and I swear this is the truth.
I'm homesick for the you and me
of our joyful, carefree youth.
