What we should remember about Michael Jackson

in 2005. Despite his acquittal of all of the charges, Michael's reputation and career were badly tarnished. Endless plastic surgeries that showed major facial transformation, eccentric lifestyles and mounting legal problems prompted the public to have further negative perceptions of Michael Jackson.

Stress related to the accusations against him over the years took its toll on Michael. His health was constantly reported to be fragile and many doubted his comeback concert could go on as planned. Soon after his death, some reports surfaced, portraying Michael as a skeletal fifty-year-old, with bald patches on his head. The reports asserted that Michael could hardly move about without the help of an aide and obviously incapable of pulling off a concert.

But a tour rehearsal video which was taken two days before he died, says otherwise. In the latest video footage, Michael proved that he could still give dynamic and spectacular stage performance which without a doubt would have had profound impact on his fans; it could have been the most "thrilling" comeback in the music history but sadly, death came too soon for the iconic entertainer.

The media have had a field day portraying Michael Jackson like a circus clown and people like us buy whatever comes out of the print. No one knows what actually goes on in Michael's head; the only thing we know is he gave his ultimate best to his music, his fans, leaving a legacy behind in the world of entertainment. He suffered alone but his music lives on in each and every single one of his fans. He was a musical genius; no other singer will be able to sing to any of Michael Jackson's beat as uniquely as what he had done.

Despite his physical appearance, his turbulent personal life and the controversies surrounding his death, Michael Jackson was the most gifted entertainer ever, a phenomenal performer who lived up to his title, the Legendary King of Pop, a true music icon who reached out to the world through his music. That is what we should remember about Michael Jackson.
