For all those who want to keep up to date with what's happening in the world of cricket, cricketinfo.com is surely THE must site to visit - it's enormous.
It is a site packed full of useful cricket statistics and features hosted in a user friendly and easy to navigate format. Whether you are after latest news and scores, photos, blogs or video and audio footage, cricketinfo.com really has it all and should be a favrourited on every cricket fan's computer. There are so many annoying sites around be this site couldn't be easier to switch between the latest information of a particular series or to check out a country's profile. It is a site that seems to cater for every user's needs, you have just got to love the clear format of it.
Its multimedia approach means that there is easy access to video streams from a range of news stories. It also boasts its own TV station for a more in depth coverage. One interesting section is the live scores section which details up-to-the-minute reports and scorecards from a variety of different matches. The desktop scorecard is particularly useful tool which allows the user to access cricket scores via a convenient pop-up window. By using this feature a person is able to keep on to of the latest cricket scores while browsing the internet or working on the computer.
The tour section covers a huge amount of information and detailed analysis, squad selections and interviews, even incorporating upcoming tours such as The Ashes. On this page the past statistics alone would keep any Ashes buff happy for weeks, with all the past information you could possibly want. Again, news is available in a vast array of media as well as podcasts and video links as well as interesting photos and fan reviews.
The results section of the site features an astonishing amount of past data from all the major matches of 2009. Every single batting and bowling figure is covered in this massive database of stats. Here too there is an opportunity to see the forth coming match dates of all the major cricket tests and series'.
For those people interested in reading blogs, the blog section offers a range of interesting, and even alternative, regular blogs. There are specialized blogs, serious and humorous blogs, all regularly updated.
Every section of cricketinfo.com is as detailed and user friendly as the rest of the site. Perhaps the only negative of this site is the amount of advertising that is attached to it. Most of it is cricket related advertising, but some of it can be a little distracting when trying to read the news features. Still, it is only a minor drawback to what is definitely a useful, and stimulating site, for anyone with an interest in cricket. Brilliant.
