Milk the day for all it's worth and enjoy to the maximum as you make a day of playing the most beloved board game of America: Monopoly. Enjoying the game can be from liking enormously long games, or owning an empire of riches, or of "Survival of the fittest;" social Darwinism.
Setting the game can be a tedious pleasure, because this is only the beginning of the hours of fun to be anticipated. Before beginning, however, insure the fact that you have food, drinks, and especially comfortable seats because you're in for a long ride.
My favorite piece is the battleship- my friend's the thimble. Each time we sit down to play with a newer player to the game, I always protest to the fact that I need the battleship- it's my property- the definition to who I am that can't be taken away from me. Now all that's left is to roll the dice and get the show on the road.
The game can get pretty annoying at points, when you take so long to get two oranges and two greens, only to have a competitor take away the last orange and the last green- pieces i payed so much for- only to be worth as nothing; but can be quite exhilarating when, by the luck of a throw of the dice, and going around the board a couple times, you gather all of the same color, establishing power.
Just when your game is going great, there's always something to throw you off. It could be from a no-good, always annoying income tax, that forces you to forfeit your pass-and-go, or the luxury tax (which could, later, be relieving to land on when the dark blues have construction), or a defiant person who refuses to trade (oh do i hate that).
The love for the game has captured the hearts for millions of people worldwide. The mere fact that the game is based off of strategy enrages a furious battle for the ultimate winner; monopoly. It's self-explanatory as the title hints the objective- to monopolize the board and force others into bankruptcy. But it's just not the game itself that motivates people to play, it's how Parker Brothers manages to make it a game for everyone; one of the only games that has a bundle of different styles of the game; from traditional, to Betty Boop, Spongebob, Ford Motor Co. It has a style for the whole spectrum of people, which shows off the individuality of the person playing, while at the same time inhabiting qualities of the funnest board game of all time.
Monopoly (if well educated and old enough of a person) is a game that shows off your ability to handle finances, technique, strategy, and mostly your personality, as the real you comes out of everyone as you fight and struggle to the bitter end, and ultimately monopolize the board.
