Michael Jackson more than likely died a broken man and it wouldn't be a total surprise if the medical examiner concluded through an autopsy that the "King of Pop" died from an apparent drug overdose from a deadly mixture of powerful prescription drugs.
The price of fame and glory can be a hefty one and judging from the likes of Heath Ledger, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain and countless other tragic public figures. The pressure to live up to other people's expectations can be so overwhelming and damning that they only way to escape the anarchic upheaval called "show business" is to blow your brains out with a shotgun blast or overdose on some prescription pills. Michael Jackson was no different from any other tortured soul in pop culture. He lived his entire life entertaining millions of people across the world. And it's rather sickening that his tragic death has brought to the surface the hypocrisy that dwells within us all and we should be ashamed to call ourselves true fans of the late "King of Pop." The million dollar question that should be asked is, why did it have to take Jackson's death for the whole world to acknowledge that he was the greatest entertainer of all time? And why wasn't he given the respect instead of the ridicule and jokes when he was still alive?
It's troubling to see so many fake people coming out of the woodwork to offer their condolences and pay tribute to Michael Jackson when it wasn't that long ago when those same individuals masquerading as diehard MJ fans were ready to accept the suggestion that he was a child molester and a freak of nature. And even after being found not guilty of the child molestation charges in a court of law. Jackson was still a marked man by the way of public opinion and especially by the media and his image as the "King of Pop" never fully recovered from the controversy of the now infamous molestation case. And now that Jackson has passed away, it's been rumored mostly on the internet that Jordan Chandler, the kid who had accused Jackson of molesting him back in 1993, has admitted that he was prompted by his father Evan Chandler to cook up the molestation story to extort money and to defame MJ. And if this latest revelation turns out that Jordan Chandler and his father both lied in order to get money from Michael Jackson, they both deserve to burn in hell and they should be charged with slander, filing a false police report and jailed.
What kind of parent would settle for an of court settlement if they knew that someone had molested their child? No amount of money could compensate for a child's state of mind after experiencing such a terrible ordeal. And if were my child that had been molested I'd rather see the person hanging from their toenails than to take any money from them, but than again that's just me everyone else is entitled to their own opinions. But in all reality Jackson brought a lot of this onto himself. One would figure after being accused the first time of child molestation and having the authorities take photos of your genitals, that Jackson would have used learned his lesson and used better judgment as to who he allowed through the gates of his Neverland Ranch. R.I.P MJ and I hope that you've finally found the peace of mind that you weren't able to find in this wretched place call life.
