How to tell if a cat is right pawed or left pawed

After reading this topic, I was curious to see which paw my cat preferred or if he had no preference. I tried a few of the techniques listed in the other articles and I could tell that he definitely prefers his right paw to bat at and grab things, but prefers biting or pouncing more things.

My cat was born with only half a tail and it typically knocks his balance off. He has learned how to sit on his rear and stand up and box at objects. He resembles a grizzly bear when he does this, so it is kind of funny. Also, My cat is quite odd and does not like being brushed like most other cats do and while I brush him he chases the brush around clawing and biting at it. He prefers his right paw during this exercise.

When in the litter box he uses both paws equally to bury his presents that he leaves for his daddy and myself. He also has a love affair with the litter box. He tends to really like climbing in and digging, even when he has not used the potty at all. My cat also prefers to bite where most cats do not. He has a slight overbite and tends to look like a vampire quite often, I wonder if this plays into his preference to bite more often than other cats.

My cat is a little over a year old now and he is just now learning that he can make the jump from the couch to the easy chair, but he has not learned that he can not make the jump from the floor to the back of the easy chair. His half tail limits his vertical jump quite a bit. I watched him make this jump only because he gripped the chair with his teeth and claws and kind of acted like a tree- climbing shark and clawed and bit his way up to the back of the chair. It is quite funny just to sit and observe his antics.

My boyfriend and I get a lot of laughs out of him. His mom cat had less of a tail than he does, but none of these things seemed to be limited on her. Maybe she overcompensated for them or something. The other cat that we had had a full length tail and he still had problems jumping, but not really balancing. Cats are definitely entertaining to watch. The way that they do things and how they react to things just seems almost comical at times.

Our only cat now is a lot more aggressive than he used to be and we do not know why. He prefers to claw and bite on us than to be petted or cuddled. He used to love just cuddling and playing, now he is almost too aggressive. I am interested to know if more cat lovers out there have had a cat go from sweet, friendly, lovable cat to aggressive, demonic, hateful cat.
