Drugs.
"Drug, noun, a chemical which people use to give them pleasant or exciting feelings. It is illegal in many countries to use drugs." - Oxford WORDPOWER Dictionary
Drugs is a word that is repeated everyday and by everyone. It is a substance that amends the normal corporal function. In this article, I will name a couple of drug types, and then talk about the effect of the drugs.
I'm going to start the list by a known drug, which is ecstasy:
Ecstasy:
Ecstasy is a member of amphetamine drugs, and is used by doctors in case of patients feeling down in the dumps. Conversely, ecstasy is also used by teenagers and adults, who just like to "get high" by orally consuming ecstasy.
Its effects are plentiful, below are some of the effects:
Euphoria: Feeling happy and content about ones self Amplified feelings of intimacy with other friends, and strangers Feelings of wisdom and complexity Diminished appetite A diminutive term of memory lapses Urinary preservation Mydriasis, where the pupil's size supplements Physical energy, heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature increased Inability to open ones jaw, and sometimes the lower jaw gets pressed forward And finally, uncontainable eye movements
The above is a list of effects when a small amount of ecstasy is consumed, if one consumes a higher dose, more effects are possible.
Heroin:
Heroin is a semi-synthetic opioid drug, and it is recommended by doctors in case of pain, severe pain though, a wrong dosage of heroin (which contains morphine) could lead to a serious health problem. However, heroin is also injected, snored, and smoked. When used a lot of side effects could occur, here are several:
A strong yearning to sleep A rigorous case of disorientation Slow heart rate Low blood pressure Decreasing passage of breath into lungs A dry mouth Vomiting Confusion Itching
Cocaine:
Cocaine is a crystalline tropane alkaloid which instigates from the leaves of a plant called "Coca", that is where the name originated. It was widely used for eyes and nose surgeries in the past. However, today, it's inhaled, smoked, insufflated and injected. Some of its effects are listen below:
Hyperactivity Increased blood pressure and heart rate Itching Paranoid delusions Overdose could cause electrical activities in the heart Seizures Increased risk of strokes Soreness Asthma Fever
Marijuana:
Cannabis or marijuana is the preparation of the cannabis
