Which makes a better pet? They both make amazing pets. I guess if you have to choose between one, Pick the one that would fit better into your lifestyle. Cats, while they obviously need fed, and the litter box cleaned out every day or other day, they don't need a lot of attention. Unless you have a spoiled brat, cat like mine.

Dogs on the other hand need a lot of attention. They have to be fed, groomed, taken for walks, let outside four to six times a day, and then they still beg for more attention as soon as you stop. Now i have both animals. I have two cats and a dog. The dog is the hardest to take care of because, I don't like always having to give him some kind of attention. Although I always do.

The cats I have though. One is a basic outside cat. She comes in every once in a while. But I hardly ever have to do anything to her, my father feeds her, because he spends most of his time outside the house, just sitting out there. The little grey kitten I brought home about a month ago, constantly begs for attention, and he's just so cute that you always want to give it to him. He goes outside and comes inside, but for him i have to clean the litter box, feed him, and make sure that he leaves the other cat outside alone, or else i probably wouldn't have a little grey kitten anymore.

Back on topic though, my dog is difficult. He always wants to play, and I'm kind of a lazy person. I'm not a big fan of getting up early, even though I love staying up late. My dog seems to always need to use the restroom about seven thirty every morning, and even though I know its probably not a good thing for him to hold it for very long, I don't usually let him out until about ten thirty or eleven. Thats just because I'm a deep sleeper, and I'm the only one who can let him out, and get him to use the bathroom. My parents can't, so with my dog it's all up to me. But with my cats, who i would totally choose over my dog any day, my parents help me out.

Cats are absolutely lovable, most of the time. Dogs are too, but they don't stay quite as small as kitties. If you're looking for a little pet, that doesn't get huge as it gets older, then you wanna go with a cat. If you live in a bigger apartment or house and you enjoy work, and spending time outdoors walking or running, then a dog is probably best for you. But mostly, its totally dependent on your lifestyle. They're both the best pets.
