Using PayPal with your Helium account

Getting a payment from Helium can only be done one way - through PayPal. PayPal is the internet's top website for holding an "online bank account." PayPal can be used to pay for items online or to send money gifts to family and friends.

Helium uses PayPal as the only way to hand out monthly payments. It's much easier than sending out checks because everything is done completely online. Of course, first you need to set up a PayPal account.

This can be done quickly and easily through PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, all you have to do is go to Paypal.com and register for free. Just by registering you will have created an account for yourself.

In order to connect your PayPal account to your Helium account there are a few steps you'll need to follow. First, on the left hand side of your account page, click on "Account Settings" second to the bottom. Once on that page, click on the tab all the way to the right that says "Payment Options." Then click on "Create new PayPal payment option" and from there you can add your PayPal account by giving it a name and giving your email address. It's important that the email address you give is the same as the one that's registered with your PayPal account.

From there, your account will be connected. You can set up numerous PayPal accounts and add them all to your Helium account if necessary. At the end of each month, as long as you have $25 or more in your Helium account, all you'll have to do is choose the PayPal account you want to use and click the "Request Payment" button on your earnings page. This button will become available to click once you have $25 in your account.

Every cent you have in your Helium account will be transferred, so don't hit the button unless you want all the money to be transferred. You must hit the button on the 4th of the month to receive payment by the 10th, as stated in the Helium payment guidelines.

To get the money out of your PayPal account may be the problem for some people, though. In your PayPal home page, you'll find the option to request a check. From there you can choose the amount of money you want to withdraw and PayPal will send you a check for that amount in days. There is a fee of $1.50 to request a check. You can also send the money from PayPal directly into your bank account or onto a debit card.

PayPal and Helium are both great websites. Helium has chosen PayPal as the only option for payment because it's quick and simple to use. If you're ready to make your first withdrawal from Helium, make sure your PayPal account is hooked up - if it isn't, you may be in for trouble.
