How to earn recursive income from writing articles for Helium

One of the greatest things about Helium is the ability for any writer to continually make money. Since joining the site last March I've had a steady cash-flow coming in each month, and I've been thrilled with it. Making money on Helium comes from a number of ways, including recursive income.

Although a recursive income is no longer the biggest way to make money on Helium, you'd be surprised with how many page views some of your articles can get. Through these page views comes money. It's usually just pennies a day, but depending on the article, you could make much more money over time.

Getting a steady recursive income will only come from being productive. The more articles you write, the more money you're going to make. Although you probably look forward to those upfront payments, the pennies you get from page views each day will really begin to shine. The greatest thing of all is that the income never stops. For years and years the money will continue to appear in your Helium account, and all you have to do is write.

To get this recursive income, there are 3 main things you need to do in order to continually make money each and every day.

1. Earn your first rating star

The only way you can make a recursive income is by having at least 1 rating star by your name. Helium requires that all earning members of their community have a rating star to earn ad revenue, which can be achieved by rating at least 10 articles every 90 days, maintaining a 75% rating average. It's wiser to rate more - the more articles you rate, the more rating stars you'll earn.

To rate, just click on "Rate" in the top right-hand corner of the page. You'll be required to read 2 articles thoroughly and choose which one is written the best. It's important that you take your time with rating, though. The more consistent and accurate your rating is, the more rating stars you can have. Even better yet, if you can get 5 ratings stars by the end of the month, Helium will pay you a $3 bonus. Having 5 rating stars requires you to rate at least 500 articles in a 90 day period, maintaining at least a 75% average.

2. Write to the most popular topics and channels

The channels with the most views will be the highest earning for any Helium writer. In order to make the most out of recursive payments, you should write to the most popular, most viewed topics. I have many articles that are high earners for me, paying me close to a quarter each day. Other articles are complete duds, paying me just a few pennies
