What many people don't realize is that there are ways to make a professional website and have it online for little or no cost. It's unbelievable to me how much money people waste on domains, hosting, and other website start up costs, when if they did a little research they'd realize that there are free or cheaper alternatives to their problems. Many inexperienced web designers tend to immediately start off paying for hosting and domains. If you are a low budget company, or an individual looking to create a personal page for the family or something, you can do so easily for free.

There is no reason for people to spend large amounts of money on domains, hosting, etc especially if their website is fairly simple. Even if it's complex, many free hosting websites offer more space than anyone would ever need. There are free web hosts, that offer a huge amount of space (more space and bandwidth than most people will ever need) and will allow you to create web pages right from their website.

One of the sites like this I like to use is www.110mb.com, but there are many others and a simple Google search for "Free Web Hosts No ads" can help you find them. If you are looking for more complex web pages, I recommend using Adobe Dreamweaver to help you create web pages (Please note this is not free). I use free websites such as www.Opendesigns.org to find good templates for the websites I create, and I recommend them as a good source.

When purchasing a domain, there are two things you should realize. Unless you are running a website that you want customers or something to easily find, you don't necessarily need a domain. If you are running a website for just the family or something, the free web hosts will give you a free sub domain, so that your website can be something like www.YourNameHere.110mb.com.

If you are looking for a domain that's free, you can try going to dot.tk in your web browser, and you can get a free .tk domain so that your website will appear www.YourNameHere.Tk . Now if this still isn't good enough for you, I recommend www.1and1.com for domains, many people use www.GoDaddy.com too, but they are a little bit more expensive and provide the same thing as 1and1.

To learn how to create websites more efficiently and easily, try going to your local library and taking out a book on HTML, or a simple Google search can help you learn the basic HTML language.

This is what I recommend if you are interested in creating websites with a low cost. By following these tips, you should be up and running in no time.
