Humor: Cat behavior

Why is it that a cat can get up into a tree but not down?

Why can the kitty climb up, but not jump down?

Is he afraid to fall, to hurt himself?

Does he know that? Can he recall from one of his other nine lives, that going so high is not necessarily the wisest thing to do, but...

Oh, Sooooooooooo Fun!

How is it that not every kitty climbs? Some stop and look as though they are saying to us "Whatever! Then just walk away. But there are those delightful creatures who look, investigate and then ever-so-slyly take that first step...urged on by whatever it is that lies dormant in cats that is only awakened by the draw of an illicit affair, as it were, that comes with the approach of danger seen in the uppermost limb of a tree.

But there are those who reach up and just keep on stretching and inching upwards until they can no longer find a limb to support their fragile weigh and thus they languish with cries for a rescuer.

It may be you, who has been that one. The little animal sat for time in memoriam (it seemed to him) until you came along to draw him down, cuddle and make over him until he was quite satisfied that he should indeed attempt it again.

It was very redeeming, after all,to have an adventure such as that and he enjoyed the warmth of that nuzzling session and the prowess of his ill-gotten reputation as a runaway was suspended until the next event. That would be Saturday nexthe wouldn't want to seem too eager.

Sharing oneself after all is not a thing you do lightly and when you seldom see the same nuzzler a second time 'round, well, you simply have to be more particular in your scheduling of these events.

The instigation of such a scheme would be remiss if it had not the element of devotion attached to it.

One would prefer to have your favorite rescuer come each and every time.

But there are those in the world who deem it necessary to be the hero or heroine, as the case may be, and thus the nuzzler of said nuzzl-ee, creating a situation of convenience and contentment.

It is similar to being snuggly rolled together as if performing the task of being that noxious ball of string they always seem to think one wants to scuffle with. (Scuffling, as everyone knows, is not allowed in the confines of the limited room space given one in a particular structure.)

Well, I dare say, enough time has past now that it is of the utmost importance to begin the creating of the new plan; the scheme to be petted and cuddled and caressed and not confined or configured into that limited space.

Oh, look! An open window
