Kathleen

A seamstress, a sewer, a tailor, a whiz-

This is the genius that Kathleen is.

She makes aprons and bonnets and clutches and things,

She creates out of fabric and wood handles and rings.

When she talks with the speed of a Singer, not idle,

You listen and know then that she earned the title:

She's Matron of Seamtressing, Queen of the Needle;

Countess of Handstitch,

O, tweedlie-deedle.

You see her in action as though she's a blur,

And when she is done she will raise quite a stir.

She knows sewing and patching and hemming sublime,

And she truly is trusted to take stitch- in-time.

She is honored by thank yous from many who know

How she's taken a project of theirs just to sew.

Creating a purse or an apron to wear

She takes into account that many will stare

At her stitching and fussing and handwork divine

So please take your work to her any ol' time.

She will do for you nicely and price will be fair,

Just look for the sweetheart with the hat and blond hair.
