When you want to promote your ezine to the world online, you can do this for free in a number of different ways. You will get many more subscribers if you can offer a free gift for signing up. The incentive to subscribe could be a "secret" report or an ebook guide. Use exclusive offers for ezine subscribers to encourage paying customers or prospective clients to sign up for an ezine.

Before you even think about paying to promote your ezine, wait until you have tried some of these free marketing methods:

* Launch your ezine with a press release.

Use a press release to launch your ezine. Write a few brief descriptive paragraphs to announce your new ezine, and include a link to the sign-page. Email your press release to friends, send it to your business associates and submit it to other ezines. Post it on your own site, your blogs, personal web pages and profile pages at social sites.

* List your ezine in free Internet directories

A good ezine directory will show listings of a great many email newsletters and ezines. Look for the most active and recently updated directories. If you select those that list ezines in different categories, visitors can more easily find the topics you publish in your ezine.

Write articles that are helpful and informative, and make sure they are all on the topics you cover in your ezine. These articles will be found in search results. People who find your articles useful will want to sign up to your ezine from the link in the resource box.

* Create a banner for your ezine.

You can use your own software, or join a banner making site, to create a banner ad for your ezine. Then you can find individual webmasters, or use a banner exchange site, to have your banner appear on other sites. You will have to show banners on your own web page in return.

When you have successfully built up a good list of subscribers, and you have started to make money from the ads or promotions in your ezine, then you may consider spending money on marketing your ezine. You may still find the best ways to promote your ezine are the free online marketing methods. These work well for promoting an ezine or an email newsletter, and for getting traffic to the sign-up page for your ezine.
