How to avoid accepting defeat

When you accept defeat you are giving up and allowing negative feelings to stand in the way, or you are reaching a point in life when you feel there is no point in aiming for success. Avoid those negative feelings, and you will enjoy a greater sense of achievement. You can take pleasure in all you accomplish. You will always know you have not yet reached the end of your endeavors. You will not give up, and you will never accept defeat.

* Accept fear but do not allow it to take a hold on your life.

There is nothing wrong with being afraid when there is good cause for fear. When you are determined to avoid defeat, you will build up your courage. You will become more successful and improve your life.

Understand that what you cannot change is outside your control, and you do not need to be afraid of what you cannot change.

* Accept all the changes in your life, and think of the past in a positive way, by considering what it has taught you.

You have already succeeded in coming through some difficult or unhappy situations. The past can provide valuable lessons to help you know your own strengths. You will avoid making the same mistakes again.

You can remember all the sadness you have experienced, as well as the things that have made you happy, but never let your thoughts linger in the past. You cannot change anything that has already happened, so don't allow the past to defeat you.

* Accept other people as they are, in the same way you expect other people to accept who you are.

Never feel defeated because of what other people have done, and always accept responsibility for your own mistakes. If you no longer blame other people when things go wrong, you will not be able to accept defeat. You can trust yourself and know that you direct your own life.

* Accept that you are willing to improve your own life, and think creatively.

It is easier to improve your life, and not to accept defeat, when you make everything work to your advantage. Think about things as they are, not as you want them to be, and without being afraid of failure.

Rather than dreaming of what you want to happen, set a few short term goals. Each time you accomplish one small goal, you know you can make those changes happen, you can improve your life, you can avoid accepting defeat.

With some creative thinking, you will become more relaxed. You will avoid defeat, even when plans fail. You can be pleased about being given a new opportunity, rather than feeling defeated. You will know there will always be another course to take, you only need to think of a different approach.

* Accept that the opposite of accepting defeat is enjoying success, but that does not mean you need to earn a lot of money or acquire a great many possessions.

Your emotional health and mental attitude will be greatly improved by refusing to accept defeat and having a winning feeling about life. Success is about life purpose and accomplishment, accepting who you are and knowing what you can achieve.
