Looking ahead I see nothing,
Looking back I see nothing,
Nothing but the tiny clear space in which I stand,
The only tiny bit of light that stops the fog from touching me.
I take another step,
A step into the white surrounding mist,
I breathe in the thick moisture of the air,
It settles in my lungs like morning dew,
I walk alone,
And like a ghost I disappear as the fog closes around me.
There are sounds but no objects,
There are voices but no faces,
I'm floating in my bubble away from the worries of the world,
The world is breaking around me,
But I don't care.
I'm in a cloud,
A fluffy white cloud that shields me from danger,
The noises of the world become a distant drone,
As I walk through the fog alone,
A warm feeling rises inside me,
I'm secure, I'm smiling, I'm coping.

Dark is dark and light is light

Imagining days of London past,
Street scenes of poverty,
Captivating to the last.

Early in the morning I wake and rub the eyes,
slip out of bed
scratch my head
to go walk with the Aussie sunrise.

The witching hour has come and gone,
And there's an eerie orange glow;
The horizon
