They find themselves being chased by a group of unknown enemies as soon as the light of the day awakens them from their state of unconsciousness due to a heart-trembling shock of an undefined event. They are now running and the enemies are behind them, the desert-like scenario adds plenty of obstacles on their flee mission. Their bare feet are about to get injured due to the heat of the sand, their legs are injured by the thorny bush they face many times on the way, but they are running with a hope to escape from the threatening face of terror.
They ran all day and now they are in a place which seems like a small man-less village at the center of a sea of sand, and the place reminds an old deserted palace that can turn into a kingdom of ghost anytime. They did not turn their head back to see if the enemies are still behind during all day run. But the fact that the enemies are disappeared somewhere on the way makes their stopped heart start working slowly. They breath in a little bubble of joy, but they still feel that they aint safe and perhaps they have to find a safe place that can be felt close by heart.
They start walking through the old and narrow slate streets. Their clothes are torn everywhere, their stomach is empty, their body is salted by sweat, eyes are ripened by the heat and dust, and their tongue feels like a lump of polyester due to thirst. One of them asks, "Lets stay here in the village and face whatever comes. lets die if we have to. Where are we going? What happens if the place we find will be more terrible? Who is chasing us? They aint here, How about forgetting about them?" They think as they walk but nobody speaks a word as if they do not want to waste their energy in talking. They just keep on walking for a while and one of them breaks the silence again, "Someone among us is missing, we were five before and now we are four." But they do not seem to be affected by the newly discovered fact of missing one friend probably because their senses are hunted so intensely that they do not feel that pain.
They walk for a while and suddenly one of them starts crying. they all sit on the floor and lie down for a while until the sobbing stops. It is now as dark as the core of an ocean of black ink, and the whistling of hot air, unexpected blur-sounds coming from distance, the journey, and even the faces of their own friends are so threatening that their blood feels as cold as ice and they feel as if their heart is about to blast. But they chose to go on.
