A set of paintbrushes of different sizes is a wise investment, as these will be used for many processes. Buy good quality and always wash them out after use. For this very purpose, ensure that the workshop is stocked with white spirit, so that you have the facility to wash the brush after use.

It is also a good idea to have adjustable cramps which can be extended to long lengths if you intend to make large items such as doors.

Remember the expense of bits for a router. There are so many available on the market that the choice is hard. Choose good quality bits. You can also buy a mat for your workbench and a vise as these help you to keep items in place while you work on them. Look also at jigs. Many are very useful and easy to use with a router, helping you to make the most of ingenious design for such things as dove tail joints.

For added workspace.

One of the accessories which helps the woodworker to make the most of space is to buy collapsible trestles. These fold away neatly between uses, but are vital during the cutting or gluing up process. It is certainly worthwhile investing in a couple of pairs, since these are relatively inexpensive but extremely useful.
