you're good at and that brings out the best in you. Try to link your inner self with what you intend to pursue. If you know that you like to think logically and are more interested in fact and science, then your passion lies somewhere in the scientific field. If you are emotional, dramatic and creative you passion lies in the artistic side. If you love any sport or music, that is your passion. There is no rule of having just one interest; there can be more. My passion is literature as well as science. Science, because it was something I obsessed over since I was six, and literature after I started reading and writing poetry.
After you know yourself and your passion, the next step is your career. Study whatever you love when going to college. You must not do something that you don't want to do because it will not be worth it. Pick a major that appeals to you the most. Research all the fields there are and see what you like best. Go see a counselor if you cannot figure it out. But let me remind you, only you know your passion.
I believe that children should participate in every field when young, because you never know where their talent may lie. Academics are not a sure test of one's intelligence and ability. Students should participate in music, drama, visual art, debating and sport as well. Who knows? The child who is constantly told by his parents of his future as a doctor has the potential to become a remarkable actor? Remember, talent is a precious gift which must not be taken for granted. It is excellent if one discovers his or her passion at an early age and sticks with it.
One may think that the ladder to success is very tall and shaky, but the truth is that it is short and has only three rungs, namely the discovery of yourself, the discovery of your passion and your career. If you can climb these then you are sure to accomplish your goals. However, accomplishment is only possible when goals exist, and they do not when one hasn't bothered to find them.
