The future of natural medicine

THE REAL TERRORISTS ARE BEHIND THE DRUGSTORES

Today, about 70% of natural health product license applications are failing due to the changes in government restrictions around the world. Though the majority of these license applications are for single ingredient products, which are generally easier to licence than multi-ingredient products, the reason for their license failure is NOT because of effectiveness, side-effects, or other valid arguments. In fact, many natural products proven effective and without side-effects include leigongteng, stevia, herpestis monniera, kawa and centinaia, among many many others. These products have been removed from most markets without valid explanation other than the fact that they compete against products manufactured by corporations like white sugar, pharmaceudical procuts and chemical additives. Essentially, the percentage of failed license applications will most likely increase as more multi-ingredient natural health products fail the licensing process and become illegal.

Other natural health products are also being removed from the market with other devious means. For example, natural oriental products are sold in the US with a required label indicating "may cause cancer" to dissuade the uninformed population from using them. In addition, many homeopathic treatments have not yet been completely removed from the market have been manipulated to become 10 to 100 times less effective, thus discouraging patients to use natural health treatments.

While natural products and herbs are being removed from the market, so are the services that provide them. Recently, in Canada, Bill C-51 and C-52 threatened to remove 70% of Natural Health Products from Canadians, make many other natural products available by prescription only, and reduce safety measures on pharmaceutical drugs. Meanwhile, it wants to add extremely harsh legal punishments for anyone wanting to recommend "unapproved" natural alternatives. Although these Bills were stopped in April 2008, Health Canada is now recruiting new "inspectors" and it is very likely that the issue will resurface with the new government (stopc51.com). Now, while Canadians think the fight is over, the government is trying to sneak in Bill C-6 which is just like C-52 but worse!

This has been the ongoing problem in the US with the Food and Drug Administration. Not only does the FDA allow "experts" to violate the rights of nutritional supplement companies and make ridiculous claims of crimes never
