The Fastest Way to Lose Weight

There is a little ice cream shop in Chattanooga, TN. This shop makes their own ice cream, and they serve a Pralines and Cream that is out of this world. This is not the fastest way to lose weight! The problem most people have involves what they eat, and the food they eat is a product of the way they were raised and their habits. Add to these eating patterns the emotional ties many people have to their food and you have a formidable opponent. Then there is that whole theory of relativity thing. The 15 minutes that elapse while we annihilate our favorite food seems like a few seconds compared to 15 minutes on the treadmill. For many people the thought of eating healthier and exercising long enough to lose the weight seems like it would take a miserable eternity. How is it possible to hang in there and reshape one's body? Is there a faster way to get there from here? Let's look at a few ideas that will have you on your way to achieving your weight loss goals.

There is a force or power often referred to as peer pressure. As most people can attest, peer pressure can be very influential. People are much more likely to conform to the behaviors of those around them, especially their friends. It is not uncommon for chubby people to have chubby friends. There is nothing particularly special about chubby people causing them to seek out other chubby people to befriend. People simply make friends with people who share common interests and are like themselves. Someone that enjoys eating or eats large portions of food will not usually have as much fun sharing a meal with the martyr with the celery sticks and sparkling water. With this in mind, the person setting out to eat healthier needs to harness peer pressure to help them meet their goals. You want to let the peer pressure work for you instead of against you. The first way to do this is to let those around you know about your goals. This creates accountability and potential shame if you fail to adhere to your plan. While this piece of advice is simple it is also powerful. Do not overlook this, because it will make the hot apple pie and ice cream seem a little less appealing. The second strategy to employ involving peer pressure is to give in. That is correct. You should have 1 day a week you set aside to "cheat." This is the best day to enjoy a meal with family or friends, chubby or not. On this day you will give in to
