Working through lulls in the writing process

As a Helium writer, one of the aspects of writing which affects everyone at some time is a lull. This is a time when you can't think of what to write about. The inspiration doesn't seem to happen, though there are ways of working through lulls to come out of the other side as a productive writer again. This article is written from the perspective of a writer who has experienced this phenomenon and worked through it, learning the way to use these lulls to find inspiration which also enhances the scope of your Helium portfolio.

Uninspired.

Writers will have moments when they are uninspired, though all they need to get that inspiration back is a prompt of some kind. If you do not present yourself with prompts, how can you expect them to work, or to lose that lack of inspiration? The uninspired writer may be uninspired for any number of reasons, though all it takes is a change in the route to get a writer back into the groove of writing.

Searching for titles.

Titles provide a Helium writer with that prompt that every writer needs when in a rut. Instead of writing the same old type of article, use the title finder which is accessible from each My Helium page. It's a very productive place to spend your lulls. Doing random searches can come up with some really astounding titles which you never imagined existed. The nice thing about diversity is that it takes the writer out of that lull into creative thinking which produces work.

The title finder needs finely honing to your type of subjects. Often a small keyword is all it takes to open up a whole realm of possibility. For example, use the word children and a whole host of article titles give you a path to follow. Similarly with any topic, one keyword can take you into the land of unchartered territory, and take you out of that stagnant state of lull.

Changing tack.

When we tackle subjects, often the staleness which is a direct result of sticking to the same methods creates a lull. Examine titles. This helps you to come up with an original concept and way of dealing with that title. Step away from the obvious and try new styles. Your stagnation may be because the style you write is not the right one for you, and when you discover a new manner of approach, it enthuses the writer to start afresh.

Changing approach.
