Walking down the diaper aisle in a store is the hardest way to find the best diapers for your baby. All the features seem similar for each brand. How do you know which one is the best? As a first time mom, I stood in the diaper aisle nine months pregnant and made a mistake. I looked at Huggies cute baby on the cover with the appealing color scheme and put a package in my cart.
My bundle of joy was born and we got to bring him home to start our new lives together. I couldn't wait to finally see a baby sleeping in the new crib. It came time to change my little one's diaper, so I opened my cutely packaged diapers to find rough, sandpaper like diaper. I cringed at the thought of putting this diaper on my baby. I had no choice but to use the diaper on my fragile baby. When I went to change him again I saw the deep red lines on his legs and his irritated skin from the diaper.
I decided to use a better method of choosing which diapers to buy. I called my cousin, who has three children, and told her my problem. I wasn't alone. She had also made the same mistake as I had with her first baby and told me that Pampers Swaddlers are the only diapers she buys. I went to the store right away and scanned the diaper isle for the specific diapers.
I got home and changed my baby right away to alleviate m baby from the rough diaper. I opened the package and was surprised at how different they were. The diaper was so soft and had much more padding. The edges were soft, but had enough protection for leaks. It was like using a soft cloth, but it could withstand the worst. I felt comfortable putting these diapers on my baby, because I knew he would be comfortable. When you're a first time mom, seeing your baby uncomfortable can be very heart-wrenching.
I don't worry about my baby being uncomfortable or leaking from Pampers Swaddlers. Now I recommend them to everyone looking for the right brand of diapers. It is too hard to find the right diaper by walking down the isle in a store. You can't open the package in the isle and compare them. I wish you could; I would have saved myself some money. Huggies are simply too rough, which irritates your sensitive baby's skin, and they do not offer enough protection for babies. There isn't anything worse than having the contents of a dirty diaper running down your baby's legs. If you ask people with experience with children, you will find that Pampers Swaddlers are the best option for diapers.
