Far Cry 2 is game where you are immersed into the world of Africa where two gun toting factions named the UFLL and the APR aim to take each other out. Your mission is to kill the Jackal, the one who armed both sides. Although, there is a lot out there that is stopping you or hindering your progress: Guard posts, malaria, weapon jams, random jeep drive-by, diamonds, etc...
These are my personal tips and tricks to help you get through or own all those who stand in your way.
1. Always go for the headshot
In this game, it seems like it take about 200 shots to kill just one guy. I sure noticed this and I found it very annoying for the guy to be still standing after I shot him about 6 times in the chest with my G3-KA4. Ammo is important in this game as you don't want to run out of ammo during a firefight and then just get blasted by gunfire. To conserve ammo and kill the enemy quickly, go for the headshot. Aim for their neck or right below it and shoot a couple shots and the recoil which surely get you that headshot. Guaranteed, they go down much faster and you conserve all that ammo. Also it's pretty satisfying.
2. Zoom Technique
I've noticed that every time you zoom in (scope or ironsight) it automatically aims at the enemy's chest (If you aim near the enemy). How great is that? Just shoot a couple shots as your gun recoils and they go down in an instant. Although, when the enemy moves, the ironsight or scope doesn't seem to follow the enemy anymore, so you have to re-align your shot. Instead of following him with your ironsight, just simply zoom out and zoom back in and your ironsight or scope will aim at his chest again. Fire a few shots, zoom out, zoom back in, fire a few shots, zoom out, zoom back in, fire a few shots, repeat until the enemy is dead. This also works great in multiplayer and offline sniping.
3. Check OPEN safehouses
What do I mean by open? There are a few safehouses out there that are already unlocked with no enemies that you would have to kill to unlock a safehouse. These safehouses have a weapon in each one of them just lying on the floor waiting to be played with. So far, I've found the MGL-140, AS50, and the USAS-12 in these safehouses and they are probably the best weapons in the entire game. The only setback is the reliability so don't expect these guns to not fail on you sooner or later.
4. Healing at Safehouses
If you're wounded after a firefight, like you have 2 bars of health left, and you happen to pass by a safehouse. You
