Exercising at home is one of the most economical ways to obtain personal fitness. The money and time you save adds up to getting in shape on the cheap. Spending time at home may have you multi-tasking, but it will enable you to get more done.
The number one reason to workout at home is saving money. A typical monthly fee at a gym for one person is approximately 30 dollars. Most clubs wave initiation fees during parts of the calendar year, so those won't be counted. Additional expenditures include gas needed to driving to the gym. On top of these cost there is childcare costs. A moderately priced treadmill or stationary bike will list for approximately 400 dollars. Additional expense is incurred for a bench and weights. An inexpensive set will set you back about 300 dollars. Superior used sets may be purchased on Craig's list or E bay. The initial cost will be offset in less than two years by the annual savings in dues to a club.
The number two reason to workout at home is time saving. Having a gym at home omits the drive to the fitness center. Additional time is saved by not having to get your things in and out of a locker. If you're thinking that it only takes five or ten minutes your correct. Now add that daily time for an entire year. Now it's easy to see that those who work out at home are saving hours.
The third argument in favor of working out at your residence is home time. Monitoring children, accepting deliveries and opening doors for repair professionals may be done in between your set of weight lifting. Lifting weights at home also makes sense if you have children. Once a child nears the age of seven they become independent enough to allow an adult to have a short workout. As they age they need less direct monitoring. However in the teenager years they need an adult in the house as much as possible. Repair personnel only take a few minutes of your time. Additionally working out at home means less missed special delivery packages. It is crucial that adults are available to answer questions from children and repair persons.
Ideally gyms are a great place to get in shape. However working out at home will help answer increased demands of parenting and home ownership. It also helps tighten your budget in this flailing economy. Working out at home enables you to balance all those responsibilities and enables you to take care of yourself.
