My purse strap just snapped,
The dogs won't quit barking,
The TV is too loud,
And pots and pans are keeping time in my head.
What's going on?
I'm right in front of you,
The silence is oppressing.
I try to fill in the gaps,
Talking too much again.
So I listen...
The static is nerve racking,
I'm too toned deaf to hear.
The words you are speaking,
To you are so clear.
Speak up you say,
I scream.
You never loved me!
Silence.
