To a friend in need from a friend in deed
Her life is different from mine,
It is filled with a pain that I can never know,
Anger that just seems to grow,
But beneath it all is a girl, whose love is just waiting to glow,
She is kind, she is sweet, the kind of person only god can keep,
For she's his angel not mine, so how can I even compete?
It's all just a waste of time, trying to make this girl mine.
Maybe I'll tell her, maybe it'll show,
But the love that I have for her just continues to grow,
Sometimes I wonder if she likes what she sees.
When she closes her eyes does she picture me?
All this I cannot tell because she doesn't even know
I'm her friend, the one she always runs to in the end
I'll wipe her tears away and bring a smile to her face
But does she love me or am I just a waste.

Blistering enraptured passion,
leads in a capturing fashion,
so often to thinking wrongly,
that we are just an untold fool.
It was a bright sunny day and I saw you reading in your car,
You were so engrossed that you hardly knew that I was admiring
