with the crawling and indexing Google and other search engine spiders. Dedicated Link modules can be used for this purpose or the links can be included as HTML hyperlinks in the text of the Text modules.

When the business owner has their lens at least completed to a functional level, they should publish it and begin the process of promoting it around the Web. They should link to it from wherever they have other presences on the Web. They may already have a business Website, business MySpace profile, blog or any number of other potential locations from which they can link to their lens. They should also not ignore social bookmarking sites, such as

Digg, Stumbleupon and Delicious.

A Squidoo lens has to be updated regularly with fresh and original content if it is to function properly. It must not be allowed to become either stale or out of date. This should be done probably at least twice a week if the business owner is to know the greatest level of success from promoting their business on Squidoo.

It is important also to browse Squidoo and to get to know it in full. The business owner should examine all the many different types of modules available for inclusion on their lens and ponder how they could be put to effective use. Keeping ahead of the competition in this respect is of course vital and as Squidoo introduces new module types on an extremely regular basis, it is best practise not to miss out on any new opportunities.

There is no doubt that Squidoo is an excellent way to promote any business and that if the process is tackled correctly, Squidoo can drive vast amounts of both Internet traffic and customers the business's way.
