My day of rest eludes me
Body screams to take a break
Stationary bike twice a day
Swim and walk

My day of rest is planned
Pin down rare, elusive peace
Settle with a charming book
Watch TV or converse

Sooner than I want to see
If I don't take an earthly day of rest
A long, long climb up heavenly stairs
Will bring me home to Thee.
