Whilst it's against the terms of service with many websites of this sort to promote your businesses and products; Squidoo gives you the freedom to promote, use your own affiliate links, and link back to your own websites.

Squidoo was founded by internet guru Seth Godin in 2005, and is a website that allows you to create your own pages about subjects that interest you, completely for free. With Squidoo you can use basic HTML and CSS coding to make your pages pretty, and it's made easy for you to add specific sections to your pages such as YouTube videos, Flickr photos, RSS feeds, and products from Amazon.

Each page that you create on Squidoo is called a 'lens', and right now there are hundreds of thousands of different lenses about all kinds of subjects that be found at Squidoo.

Some choose to write for fun about their favourite bands, films and pastimes, others meanwhile are using Squidoo to make some serious money through affiliate marketing. Squidoo pages tend to rank well in the search engines, and creating Squidoo lenses to promote your business/products can therefore be incredibly beneficial.

You can create your own lenses for your business with Squidoo, or alternatively pay someone else to create you a quality page to provide some serious promotion for your business. If you do a Google search for 'Squidoo Lens Creation Service' then you'll find a number of different people advertising their services to create Squidoo lenses to your specification.

A Squidoo lens can be created to let the world know about your business, what you do differently, and what it is that you have to offer. You put in the details that you want to share with the world, and not only is the Squidoo lens useful for getting the word out there about your business, but it's also a fantastic way of building quality backlinks on a website that is known, trusted, and ranks well with Google.

If there are different areas to your business, or if you do in fact have several different businesses, then multiple different Squidoo pages can be created, each addressing the different areas/businesses. Multiple lenses don't need to be created, and if you wish then all the information can be shared on one page; it's entirely up to you though, and if you want to utilise multiple different pages then that option is always there for you.

Squidoo is an active community of content creators, and is already being utilised by many to promote businesses, products, and services all around the world. Squidoo pages are quick to create, can easily be updated, and can be used to effectively promote your business online. It's not a costly method of business promotion, and is instead a completely free method of promotion that could do wonders for your business.
