Poetry: Love's anguish

DROWNING EMOTIONS

It rained all through the day

And I struggled to keep my emotions at bay

But sanity seemed a far cry

So I gave in and stopped to try

I cried while heavens broke loose

I felt, somehow I have been used

How could I have been such a fool?

So easily did I lose my soul

Suddenly I heard the thunder roar

I realized I have lost all control

Lightning cracked and darkness fell

Longing for someone to rescue me from hell

Rain stopped, I was sick of crying

Serene was nature around my being

Numb I felt to all the misery

It was, as if, nature's wizardry

I slept through the night

Cradled in hurt, giving up fight

I woke up forgetting

And saw a rainbow setting.
