Our world is full of silent lovers those who are shy and those who are afraid of making their first move. More interesting, yet unnoticed and less respected are those who fear to accept the reality of falling in love, sometimes considering it a taboo or a moral weakness under the burden of social bindings. These love birds earnestly guard the secret of their silent adventure. After all who wants to fall victim of committing such a socially unacceptable act - Love. So the question arises, should we combine fear and love?
Who made rules for love? Who decides where and where not to fall for someone touching your soul? Who has the power to declare where, when and whom to love or not. The news of a young student falling in love with his / her old age teacher is a topic of hot gossips in the cafeterias and playgrounds of many institutions. Often we overhear the mischievous whispers of our friends upon entry of a colleague, known to have fallen in love with his/her officemate. The love story of neighbours also seeks a lot of attention. Reference to a known to be silent lover is always a point of hot discussions, an opportunity to defame the most beautiful feeling known to man - Love.
Quite interestingly, all those talking behind lovers and expressing their annoyance in efforts to condemn love, know exactly how does it feel to be in love. Every one sets on loving someone in some part of his / her life. Critiques know how it feels like since they too had fallen victims of love themselves. They have the right qualification to condemn the most deeply felt emotion, and the most dearly kept secret Love.
And those sheepish, trembling, shaking silent lovers, who bring disgrace to the most pure feeling a heart may carry. Those who fail to differ lust from love, an evil from virtue. No wonder, they deserve what they get. Expressing love is not expressing desire for sex, or is it? Those who have an affirmative notion in their mind, surely bare a reason for being unacceptable, whenever they desire against social norms. There are other lovers who consider their passion beyond bodily desires (the animal instincts of human). The question arises, is it possible to love without lust? Surely it is, specially when lust without love is considered possible. Love is desire of souls and lust is of bodies. So what should really be considered unacceptable? Love without lust or lust without Love?
In short, the only advice that may be offered is not to feel shy of the purest virtue of mankind - Love. No one has authority to regulate Love, as it is by nature a rebel. Feel good about it, when you have it and as much when you witness it. Help yourself by helping others by encouraging their sentiments of Love. Gain strength from the fact that every one tastes this fruit at least once in life, so why fear to Love?
