et al, 2008). Determining how the mission impacts the hearers when communicated is critical because if the mission statement is too long hearers and readers may be turned off. At this point the mission statement should be in written form and should be communicated to a small control group to get their reactions. Analyzing the reactions will be a good metric to determine if more work need to be done.
