I'll paint you my love
with colors I choose
A variant mixture
of beautiful hues.
To show who you were
to show who you are
To show the great distance
you've travelled so far.
Black and dark blue
is what I'll first use
To show how your spirit
was battered and bruised.
Then I'll use flesh
with a dab of pink blush
To capture your face
when your heart turned to mush.
Then I'll use gold
to capture the night
When the stars seemed to be
especially bright.
Then I'll use blue
for the blanket we used
And again I'll use flesh
to show when we fused.
Next will come red
when our bodies became one
And orange when we rested
as up came the sun.
And finally I'll use white
for when we both said "I do"
When we both became one
and no longer were two.
