Wildlife in Finland
Finland is a country with lakes, forest an beautiful nature. Regarding the fact it is a very small country with industry and manufacturing, it has untouchable nature also. Development seems to focus near metropolis and surroundings. One can easily find the wilderness approx 50 kilometers from the capital, Helsinki. In Finland you wont face a lion in the wild, you wont be attacked by a grisly or need to fear for a panther in the wild. You can explore the less dangerous animals and its beauty.
By the sea you can find a swan-couple, in the forest is living lynxes, bears, dares, moose, foxes, rabbits, and other small animals. There is also some snakes, and the most poison one is adder-snake. Also number of bird species can be found. We have many national parks and conservation areas. Finland is very devoted to keep the nature and its wildlife untouched. They have protected many animal species seasonally and some species ar not allowed to hunt at all. Penalties for abuse of these laws are hard. That's why there are number of animals in the nature and its population is safe. Finnish people can be very protective and anxious for taking care of the wild animals. Occasionally the university of veterinary gets wild animals to be treated and let back to nature when its healed. This work needs to get some recognition, because its all purely based on charity and we know, treating a pet can cost high dollars!
So if you look for peaceful nature where to find some of the wild animals, you're very welcome to visit Finland. One can easily find green nature straight after sub-urban areas near Helsinki. The nature is one thing that has been kept untouched, yes even in urban areas one can find some nature. Take the ferry from Helsinki for about 5 minutes and you'll find yourself in archipelago Suomenlinna. Its a very historical place to be seen. Something what one has to experience is Seurasaari. A place with wild birds and squirrels. Its a nice place for day-trip in the nature. There you can find a grave for seurasaaris most oldest squirrel. Birds and squirrels are all kind of tame, because people have been feeding on them.
In Finland fishing has became very popular. In lakes postulation for common fish as perch, pike, pike-perch and roach is stabile. When fishing from sea, for example eastern, catch can be very broad. Cod-fish is the one variety that has vanished for good along the time. Contamination of the Baltic sea has affected to this, some believe. This is a misfortune, and actions should take place immediately.
