In chess, there are many great things that you can do to win and many bad things that you can accidentally do which could make you lose. Chess is a great little fun game that you can play to pass some time or to just, have fun, but no matter why you are playing it, it is never fun to lose, and a great way to help you win, is to tell you just some, of the many mistakes made by other people because, in life you have to learn from your mistakes, and you can't make them all by yourself!

A very common mistake that other people often make is that, they do not think ahead, so, when they set there piece down, they often get that piece captured or even lose the whole game, so, if you are going to try and win, you should always think ahead before you move your next piece, this is a mistake that I make all the time by accident, and most of the time, I ended up loosing to my opponent because of one silly mistake. Another silly mistake, is moving all your other pieces away from your king or any other valuable piece, giving the opponent an opportunity to win, so, only do this if you really have to or need the other pieces to win. Always remember that if your opponent is for sure going to capture one of your pieces, it is ALWAYS better to get a not so valuable piece captured then a valuable piece captured.

When you are starting the game, you never want to leave your knights behind all the other pieces, where it starts because, it is the only piece that can jump over other pieces and you will probably have a greater chance of winning, so it is always a great idea to move the knights out of there starting position so that they can possibly capture the opponents pieces. Another bad way to lose in chess is to have lots of distractions around you such as: the television, other people moving around you, or other people talking around you, so, when playing chess, do not play it somewhere very noisy or loud because it could distract you and keep you from focusing on the game, and this might not seem like such a big deal to you but, you have a much higher chance of winning if you are not distracted from the game.

When you are playing the game some people like to get super crazy and competitive about winning, and some people choose to just play for fun and have a great time, but if you ask me, I do not think it is something that you have to get all worked up about, but if you really want to, you can do whatever you want to do, but I just like to have a great time playing and most importantly, have fun doing it!
