What Should We Remember About Michael Jackson?
It is surprising sitting here writing about Michael Jackson in remembrance of him. I know it would happen one day, but so sudden is surprising. We should remember his whole life as human being. He loved his fans and family. Michael Jackson was phenomenal person in a who with a purpose for others. He gave of himself to please others. The greatest legacy that he could leave to the world is his music, his videos, his songs, his choreography, his children, and charitable organizations he founded, the charities organizations he gave to and the individuals that he spent time with to name few. This is where we can find the man behind the mask, the man behind the onstage performances, and the man in his private time. He was a human being with extraordinary talent. He had a way of expressing himself to touch the lives and hearts of others globally. He was also a human being. It is a shame that this part of him is seldom spoken of. He had emotions, feelings, capable of love, capable of showing compassion, capable of showing sympathy as well as empathy, accepting others and capable of being hurt as well. Did he receive what he gave? The love of his fans and loved ones would be the positive in his life.
He became human in what he loved the most. In his songs he would communicate with the public and show others what he was going through whether good or bad. Here he showed others those beautiful human traits that are seldom portrayed in his private life. He was such a public figure that the negatives that were portrayed drown out the positive giving person that lived behind the mask. He wanted to talk to people and let us know his side of the story. When he told the truth, it was shut down as untruth. When he was suffering, it was denied as something else. It seemed that he spent his lifetime wanting to do the good that he was called to do and perfecting it. Then the dealing with the bad things that showed weakness on the frailty that human beings at any level have to learn to accept. Michael had to learn to accept himself no matter what. We will never know if he actually accepted himself as the good human being that he was. We should remember the good things he did that impacted everyone globally. In his songs from early on, we were touched by the five year old little boy singing Ben, the two of us need look no more, with a friend to call my own, I'll never be alone; you have a friend in me. These lyrics touch
