- if you see a piece of furniture that you like but is priced a little high - check back in a few days... if it's still there, chances are the price will be reduced.

STYLE / QUALITY - If a piece is in style it will sell. Even if it's not in style but it's in good condition, it will sell (not for a high price but it will sell). If you find something in style and in good condition - you've hit the jackpot! If you find something that is real wood and in good condition - it will probably sell. A piece that is in style but needs some work may be worth buying - you can either repair it and sell it or sell it "AS IS".

2 experiences I have had recently illustrate this. I found a wood dresser that I don't think is in style but it was real wood and in great condition. It was priced at $50. I went back a week later and it was still there - reduced to $25! I bought it, listed it on Craigslist for $100 and sold it four days later for $100 (i had several offers for lower but figured I would hold out for 2 weeks). About an hour of work total and $75 profit!

I also found an entertainment center that was in style - I know because I even liked it. It had some dings but was still pretty cool and wasn't even real wood. I bought it for $25 listed it as is for $150 (which I thought was high). I reduced it a week later to $100 and sold it 2 days after that for $90. About an hour of work, 10 days and $65 profit!

Your probably not going to make a living flipping furniture on Craigslist, but spend a few hours a month and you could add a couple hundred extra dollars to your bank account... I hope this helps you get started and I would love to hear your experiences!
