Deep, soothing peace wells forth from my inmost being
And washes over my tired spirit
As Your holy hands caress my brow.
Your gentle touch
And the sight of Your indescribable beauty
Bring absolute joy to my soul.
Oh, how I have longed for the greatness of Your presence,
As close and still as a scorching, humid day,
Yet more welcome than a cool breeze,
Carrying with it the aroma of morning dew and honeysuckle.
Now, in Your arms,
All the troubles of the dark world fade away;
Only Your everlasting faithfulness remains.
As I come to this sweet revelation,
I let myself sink into the billowy softness
Of Your radiant wings.
You say to me
Be still and know.
And I realize, How can one not know?'
Your grace has been made evident to all
Through the stark beauty of the creation You gave to us.
The great rainforest teeming with life,
The majestic mountain peaks,
All nature serves as a testament to Your glory.
Each snowflake unique,
Each daisy in the meadow of millions,
A glimpse of Your wonderful being.
As I reflect on these things,
I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
I look into Your eyes,
Diamonds of fire set in a face of frozen light,
Yet not a cold face,
But one that seems ready to laugh with joy at any moment.
You gaze back at me
And Your sweet lips spread
Into a smile brighter than the Sun,
And warmer than a sunbathed rock.
Your voice thunders to me like a waterfall,
Yet is more delicate than midnight snow
Falling in a silent forest.
Your words burst forth from the depths of Your wisdom,
Well done good and faithful servant.
These are the words I have longed to hear,
The words that complete the indescribable satisfaction,
The pure wonder of your gentle touch.
As I hear those words,
Your fingers slowly sweep over my lips,
Close my awe-filled eyes,
And draw me into
The Fullness of Your Glory.

Deep, soothing peace wells forth from my inmost being
And washes over my tired spirit
As Your holy hands caress my
When we first met it was if time stood still
Our eyes locked forcing us against our will
Not to go our separate ways
Like
Lost in thought, lost in you, lost in the drama or something so true
Stuck in limbo, stuck in dreams, stuck in the madness
YOU'RE EVERYTHING TO ME
You're the cream in my coffee
The sugar in my tea
You're the flame on my candle
You light
by Joseph Wardy
My everything...
Has nothing to do with my...
And everything to do with me...
The me less my possessions, identity and forms
