As the name Michael Jackson is continually sullied and besmirched through the nonsensical media, it is crucial to remember him not for the tabloid sensationalism, but for the legacy he left the music industry.

Michael Jackson lived a life filled with heartache and success, and he could not find a happy medium between the two. Michael Jackson was a phenomenal performer, lighting up the stage like no other. As we remember Michael Jackson, it is most important to remember his indelible impact on the music industry.

His lurid personal life, while perhaps exaggerated and flamboyant, should not be the focal point of memories. The memories created by Michael Jackson will last a lifetime in the minds of millions. His music was energetic and catchy, and can instantly bring back evocative memories for a plethora of fans.

When remembering Michael Jackson, it is important to remember that he was a son, a husband, a father, a brother, an uncle, a contributing member of society, an extraordinary entertainer, and a musician. It is easy to disparage and sully his reputation, but a deeper and more introspective look yields a glimpse into a deeply troubled individual that also happened to revolutionize the music industry and the music video industry.

Michael Jackson was an icon, and he turned the pop industry on its collective ear with his impeccable falsetto and rhythm.

It is irrelevant what the public perception is of this man, and his 'Wacko Jacko' persona. In the immediate time after his untimely demise, the streets were packed with well-wishers and an assortment of other fans. Michael Jackson leaves behind three young children, which is quite a sad thought.

He was ostracized by the media, and the hordes of paparazzi hounded him mercilessly. We should remember that Michael Jackson was a bird that just wasn't meant to be caged.

Michael Jackson seemed to grow up in age, but not in maturity level. He remained a man child, but he seemed to always have the best interest of people in his heart. The horrible atrocities to which he was said to have performed have denigrated his reputation, but they may or may not have occurred; only certain people know the answer to that part of the story.

Michael was not a sexual being, per se, and therefore his sleepovers may just have been as innocent as that. As the tragic details of his life become center stage, we must remember that he was raised in a tumultuous home, and spent the majority of his life sheltered and lonely
