Identifying bedbug bites may not be easy at first because when bedbugs bite people they are usually asleep. Hours and sometimes days may pass before itching or other signs of bedbug bites occur. In furtherance, some people have little to no reaction to bedbug bites and may never know they have been bitten.
Flea and mosquito bites are noticeable almost immediately because their bites can be felt penetrating the skin and causing immediate itches. Both these pests may be felt crawling or landing on the skin. Mosquitoes even give themselves away with their buzzing sound. These two bloodsuckers bite their victims whether they are asleep or awake.
As stated in para one, however, bedbugs bite when victims are asleep. Hours and even days may pass before bite wounds are noticed. These factors make identifying bedbugs bites a little difficult because when victims do not notice signs of biting until they are awake and moving about, they are likely to think some other type insect must have bitten them. People simply do not associate bites they feel while participating in activities during the day with wounds they must have incurred while sleeping.

So much so that while some people may not ever know they have been, and bites may take hours or days to appear on other victims, some people will show signs of bedbug bites as soon as they wake up.
Knowing how to identify bedbug bites can help you know how to treat them. Identifying bedbug bites should also alert you that either you have a bedbug problem or some place you slept is infested.
