Every day you wake up in the morning, your having your morning cup of coffee and you're trying to hurry to get to work. But you want to quickly check your email, or the news to see what going on. You turn your computer on, and then you remember that it is going to take 5 to 10 minutes to boot up. And then it will take your computer another 5 or 10 minutes to navigate and open up your internet browser. You quickly turn off your computer and hurry to work, angry that your computer sucks. You wish you could just fix this computer and not have to spend tons of money to buy a new computer or spend a fortune to have someone fix it.
No fear! You can fix this problem yourself with a few simple, free programs. If your computer is running slow, or you just want to speed up your computer, there are a few simple and cheap ways to make it run smoother and faster. First, remove unnecessary programs. Second, Clean up your computer with free software. Third, remove and viruses or malware. And if you are still not satisfied, you can upgrade your computer.
Removing Unnecessary Programs:
You can start this by uninstalling any programs that you don't need or simply don't want anymore. The normal Windows uninstaller isn't one of the best programs. A good, free program that will do the job better, is called Revo Uninstaller. This will delete every file associated with that program. It also has a start up manager. This will help you manage what programs you have running on your start up. This is another great thing to do to improve the speed of your boot up, and also of your overall computer. Removing unnecessary programs on start up.
Clean Up Your Computer With Free Software:
Clean off any cookies and other types of junk files is a great way to increase your hard drive space and also speed up your computer. Another free program that will do the job is called CCleaner. This has a cleaner and also a registry cleaner. Running both of these things will clean up your computer wonderfully. Running the cleaner that windows has is also a good idea.
Remove Viruses Or Malware:
A good anti-virus program is called Avast. This program will keep out most of the common viruses and also a lot of the other ones. If a virus does get through its extensive protection, then it has an excellent scanner to find it and eliminate it. One of my favorite things about it, is the boot time scanner. It will scan your computer before boot up. A great spyware program is called Spybot Search & Destroy. It will keep out anything that wants to come in.
Upgrade Your Computer:
If you are still aren't satisfied, then you can upgrade your computer with new parts. You could pay someone a lot of money to do this, or do it yourself and safe a lot of money. Buying parts online is the best way to do this. Increase your RAM, processor, and/or hard drive is the easiest and fastest way to do this.
