Should wives allow their men to watch porn movies? In a marriage the word "allow" should never enter into play but aside from that, it is interesting to me that porn is such a hot button. I believe that your spouse is the person that you should feel most comfortable with, most open with and with whom you trust the most.

Porn can bring couples closer and bring spice to love lives. My opinion on whether my husband is "allowed" to watch porn, I feel like if it gets his motor started then half of my work is done. If you make a big deal out of it then it will become like a child who you tell that they are not allowed to have candy. Nine times out of 10, they will sneak and watch the porn anyway. I have known plenty of men who were married to uptight women and they were not "allowed" to watch or look at porn. Guess what, they did it anyway and then lied to their wives. If my husband wanted to watch porn and I said no then I have made him feel bad like he is dirty or that there is something wrong with him for wanting to watch a stupid movie. If he feels like he can't talk to me about it, then who will he talk to? I don't want my husband to confide in someone in a chat room, another woman that is more understanding?

There are people who say that porn is disrespectful to women. This is 2009 and the porn industry is a huge money maker. I think for the most part that porn movies are stupid, actors and actresses with very little acting abilities and poor story lines. But let's face the fact of the acting abilities are not the reason that people are watching porn. Personally they make me laugh, so porn is not a big part of my marriage but I would never tell my husband that he could not watch porn if he wanted to.

I believe another contributing factor is self-esteem. Women who feel bad about their self image I think become insecure that their husband's would want to look at other nude woman. But if there are other underlying issues, then watching porn is not really the problem. We all know that men and women are wired differently. Men are visual creatures, while women react more to touch and smells. So I think that while most women find porn movies gross, just think of it as a nice thing we can do for our husbands. I have found that if you get involved then you can take the focus off of the actual movie and then it is just like an appetizer instead of the main course. You don't really want you husband to watch porn by himself, because then in the end why would he need you?
