Poetry: Cancer

Why now? Why me?

You were there all along, you just sat there and knew I had plans to go far,

One doctor's vsit, and then you want to make your apperance, now you want to be shown.

The future was so bright and clear, then you come and I am stcuk here,

I have no hair, wigs are over the top way too much, you give me heartache through the day and night!

Hey, you knew I wanted to get married in about five or six years, you knew I wanted kids,

Now that I recieved both a husband and the kids, you are telling me you want me to miss spending with them some wonderful years!

Why now? and why me? I never cared you was around, nor did it bother me if you did not want to leave,

but you insist on inflicting pain, and you feel you are entitled now to cause me misery.

I am not going to bargain with you, and give you the satisfaction that you are the one that rules,

I beleive in God, and I know he will see me through, God knows what to do.

Why now? why me? I really don't understand how you can be so cruel to a human being,

How can you be so cruel to me, Oh cancer! you nasty and horrible illness,

Why now? and tell me please tell me, Why in the world did you have to choose me?
